Gold Refining

Refining Africa's gold responsibly — from artisanal supply to international offtake.

Namayani Refinery — Zambia

Gold Refining

Namayani Refinery is the Group's gold refining business, based in Zambia. Established to bring responsible, professionally operated refining capacity to the region, the Refinery processes gold sourced from artisanal and small-scale miners, traders, and cross-border supply channels in southern Africa.

What We Do

  • Doré refining — processing raw doré and semi-refined gold
  • Assay and analysis — accurate, transparent assaying
  • Supply chain compliance — KYC and source verification on all incoming material
  • Onward sale — supply of refined product into recognised offtake channels

Sourcing

We work directly with artisanal and small-scale miners (ASM) — supporting formalisation, fair pricing, and traceability. Our sourcing network includes licensed gold traders in Zambia and the wider region, as well as cross-border supply from the Copperbelt and DRC. Our approach prioritises traceability, due diligence, and fair value to source communities.

Compliance & Governance

Namayani Refinery is registered with the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) under the Companies Act No. 10 of 2017 of Zambia, and operates in line with international guidance on responsible gold sourcing, including the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.
